Delete your Orbit account
You can delete your Orbit account at any time, yourself, in a few taps. This page explains how, and exactly what goes and what stays.
- Delete it in the Orbit app, on the website, or by emailing us. You don't need to cancel anything first.
- Your account, devices, sign-ins and subscription record are deleted straight away.
- A subscription paid by card stops at the same moment, with no further charges.
- Payment records are kept for as long as UK tax law requires, usually six years.
This page is for Orbit by SUPERORBIT LTD, including the Orbit app for Android (app.superorbit.android) on Google Play, the iPhone and iPad app, and Orbit on Mac and Windows. They all share one Orbit account.
Three ways to delete it
In the Orbit app on your phone or tablet
- Open Orbit and go to Settings, then Account (signed in to your Orbit account).
- Tap Delete account.
- Type your email address to confirm, then tap Delete my account.
On the website or in Orbit on your computer
- Go to superorbit.app/account and sign in with the code we email you. (In Orbit on your Mac or PC: Settings, then Account and plan.)
- Under Delete account, choose Delete my account.
- Type your email address to confirm, then choose Delete forever.
By email, without signing in
Email declan@superorbit.app from the address your account uses, with the subject "Delete my Orbit account". We'll confirm it's you, delete the account and reply to say it's done within a month.
If you lead a team with other people in it, remove them first (Settings, then Team), so their shared work isn't deleted with your account. If you subscribed through Apple, cancel the subscription in your Apple ID settings too, because only Apple can stop it.
What is deleted
Straight away, from our servers:
- Your account: email address, sign-up date and Stripe customer ID.
- Google or Apple sign-in links, and every signed-in device and its sign-in key.
- Your subscription record. A card subscription is stopped with Stripe at the same moment.
- Your Google Calendar connection, your booking pages and their bookings.
- The Teams items you own, and your call and voice usage counts.
What is kept
- Payment records (invoices and payments, held by Stripe and in our accounts) for as long as UK tax law requires, usually six years.
- Messages you posted in a team's Chat stay for your teammates, no longer linked to you, and so do ideas and feedback you sent. Ask us and we'll delete those too.
- Everything on your own devices. Your chats, files, projects and sign-ins live on your computer, never on our servers, so deleting the account doesn't touch them. Uninstall Orbit to remove them. A linked phone stays listed on the relay until you remove it in Orbit on your computer (Settings, then Phone, then Remove).
Deleting some data without deleting the account
- A phone or tablet: in Orbit on your computer, Settings, then Phone, then Remove. Its ID and push token are deleted from the relay.
- A signed-in device: at superorbit.app/account, under Devices, choose Remove.
- Google Calendar, booking pages or team items: disconnect or delete them in Orbit.
- Anything else: email declan@superorbit.app.
More detail is in our Privacy Policy.
