Chat for your team.
Your Moon included.
Spaces, channels and direct messages for the people you work with, right next to your Orbs. Ask @moon in a channel and your Moon answers there.

Spaces, channels, DMs.
Chat is for people; your conversations with AI are Orbs. Group channels into spaces like General, Clients or Ideas. Only the people added to a channel see it, and direct messages are with one person or a small group.
- Files and pictures attached, with pictures shown in the message
- Voice notes recorded from your microphone; click the square to stop and send
- Link previews, typing dots, and Delivered, Read or Read by everyone
- Enter to send, Shift Enter for a new line
Threads keep it tidy.
Side conversations shouldn't bury the main one. Hover over any message to react, reply in a thread beside the channel, or pin it so it's easy to find again. Edit or delete your own.
Type / for commands: /moon, /pins, /mute and /unmute.
- React with an emoji
- Reply in thread so side conversations don't crowd the channel
- Pin to the channel; the pin button in the header shows them all
- Delete removes a message for everyone
- Mute, see who's in, or leave from the channel's header
@Moon in the channel.
Write @moon or @orbs and your own Moon answers in the channel, on your plan. It's told to use only what everyone in the channel can already see, and nothing private from your chats, memory or inbox unless someone asks. Each person's Moon runs on their own sign-in, so @moon uses the plan of whoever mentioned it.
Start with a team.
Chat needs a team. Click Chat in the rail and, if you're not on one yet, it points you to Settings, Team to start or join one. Then click the + beside your team's name for a new message, a new channel in a space, or a new space, and pick who's in it.
Only people on your team can be in a channel, and only the ones added to it see it. Your conversations with AI stay in the Orbs list, private to you. Chat is where the people you work with talk, and where your Orbs leave their updates.
Orbs post updates.
Orbs can drop a short update into a channel, like "The Splitly onboarding page is ready to review". They show as small grey lines with the Orb's name, so the channel doubles as an activity feed. Your team sees when a page is ready to review or a build has finished, without anyone copying updates across from their chats.
- Search all chats across every channel you're in
- Mentions of you collected in My Work
- On your phone, with notifications you can reply to
- Encrypted at rest on Orbit's server, so teammates see it on their own devices
