Help/Your Moon
Your Moon approves for you
When another Orb asks to run a routine command, edit your files or use a saved key, your Moon can answer it within your rules, so work keeps moving while you're away. Orbit 0.1.17 and later.
What it answers
Other Orbs' requests go to your Moon first. It decides each one by its rules in a few seconds:
- running a routine command
- editing files in your projects
- running a script on a page in Orbit's browser
- using a secret you've already saved in the Secret box
What always comes to you
Your Moon never approves these. They come to you, with a line on why:
- passwords
- payments
- sending to people
- publishing and pushing live
- deleting
See what it approved, and undo it
Everything your Moon approved is listed in Waiting on you, marked Approved by and your Moon's name. Where a step can be undone, it has an Undo.
Turn it on or off
It's on by default, and only works while your Moon is on. To change it, open Settings, then your Moon's section (it carries your Moon's name), and switch … approves for me on or off. It carries your Moon's name, for example Juno approves for me. With it off, every request comes to you as before.
What your Moon does on its own in other ways is set by its rules. See Name, colour and rules and Permissions and plan mode.
Common questions
Can my Moon pay for something or send an email for me?
Not through this. Payments, passwords, sending to people, publishing, pushing live and deleting always come to you.
Does it work when my Moon is off?
No. With your Moon off, requests come to you.
Where do I see what it decided?
In Waiting on you, under what it approved, with Undo where one is possible.
