iPhone and iPad (beta)

Orbit for iPhone and iPad is in beta, coming to the App Store. It's the same phone app as on Android and pairs with Orbit on your computer in the same way.

Where it's up to

The iPhone and iPad app is in beta through Apple's TestFlight. It isn't on the App Store yet; it's coming there. We don't have a date to share.

If you've been invited to the beta, your invite has a TestFlight link. Install Apple's TestFlight app, open the link and install Orbit from there. TestFlight keeps it up to date.

On Android, Orbit is out now as a direct download. See Orbit on Android.

Pair it with your computer

On your computer, open Orbit's Settings, then Phone, and turn on Use Orbit from your phone.
Click Pair a phone.
Open Orbit on your iPhone or iPad and scan the code, or point the Camera at it and open the link.

The code works once, for ten minutes. Your iPhone then reaches your computer on your Wi‑Fi, and from anywhere when Away from home is on, the same way Android does. Everything between them is encrypted end to end.

What's in the beta

The same app as on Android, made for Apple's devices:

Your Orbs and your Moon, live, with the message bar, dictation, pictures and files.
The floating dock with your Moon in the middle; hold it to choose what goes either side. On iPhone and iPad, the dock and the message bar use Apple's Liquid Glass.
Home, the Planner, the Board, Inbox, Chat, Files and your blocks.
Everything waiting on you, answered from the phone. See Approve from your phone.
On iPad, the computer's layout, with the Orb list and the chat side by side.
Lock with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode, from the app's Settings under Privacy.

As a beta, things may change between builds, and some features arrive on Android first.

Common questions

Can I use Orbit on iPad without a computer?

No. Like the phone app, it's a remote for Orbit on your Mac or Windows PC, which does the work.
